The next step after excavation has begun: concrete footings for our foundation walls. This is what the entire house will sit on. They also include small pipes that drain water away from the foundation – important protection from our clay-based expansive Front Range soil.
Footings and foundations are poured from pumps systems that carry wet concrete across the jobsite and far above the ground. The workers direct it to exactly where it needs to go. Sure beats wheelbarrows!
